Controling larva in apple blossoms

Q. I’ve had an issue with a granny smith green apple tree, and moth larva it appears, which for years, have decided to imbed themselves in the blossom and eventually the core of the apple, rotting out the center of the apple. I’m not into chemicals/poisons/pesticides, so is there a non-toxic alternative to get rid of these pests?

A. Light brown apple moth is what you’re dealing with. Controls with limited success include pesticides, BTs and pheromones (these foul up their mating habits), but the true successes have been with combinations of these.
